Jesse Frank Bailey was born in June of 1860 in GA. He died March 9, 1909 in Walker Co., GA and was married there in September 12, 1889 to Sarah Elizabeth Sprayberry who was born July 4, 1872 in Granville, GA and died May 30, 1944 in Rossville, Walker Co., GA. Jesse went by his middle name Frank. He died in the Walker Co. jail where he was taken after attempting to attack his daughter in a fit of insanity. At the time it was believed that the insanity was triggered by the prolonged illness of the same daughter. It was later determined that actually his problem stemmed from rabies which he acquired after having been bit by a rabid cat. Children

Homer J. Bailey was born in June of 1891 in GA. He died in 1955 in Rossville, Walker Co., GA. He was married before 1913 to [1] Bessie M. Kinsey who was born November 1894 in Walker Co., GA where she died between 1913 and 1920. Homer worked at a lumber yard for many years until his death in 1955. He is buried in the Cloud Springs Cemetery. Bessie died very young from tuberculosis. He married [2] VERNIE CAMPBELL on December 29, 1923 in Walker Co. GA. They were married by Judge A. L. Ellis. Hansel Houston Bailey was born October 28, 1913 in Ft. Ogelthorpe, Walker Co., GA and died January 19, 1985 in Pontiac, Oakland Co., MI. He was married [1] about 1936 in TN to Millie Geneva Lawrence who was born September 24, 1917 in TN and died August 8, 1980 in Harrison, Hamilton Co., OH. He married [2] Mary Rains about 1947. Hansel was commonly called Hank. His mother died of tuberculosis before he was six. In the early years he spent much of his time with his Uncle J.C. to whom he was especially close. He was known to travel, especially to Texas where his Uncle Vance lived.

Hansel served in the Army in France during World War II. He was also known to be a motorcycle enthusiast. He wound up in Pontiac Michigan where he worked as a tool and die maker for Pontiac Motor Company until he retired. From Michigan death certificate # 0004278: Hansel died from renal failure as a consequence of pneumonia and heart failure. He also suffered from a bleeding peptic ulcer. He died in St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Pontiac MI. His occupation is listed as a production auto worker. The certificate states that he was a veteran of the Armed Forces. It also states that he was divorced at the time of his death. His address is given as #2 Candle-Light Lane, Pontiac MI. He was buried Jan. 22, 1985 in Perry Mt. Park cemetery, Pontiac MI.
