1^st Generation
	Thomas Charles Clifford was born September 1843 in Boston, MA. The 1880 census says both his parents were born in MA. It says he was working on a farm in 1880. The 1900 census says he was employed as a house painter. He died August 5, 1909 in Soldier's Home, Loges(?), Maine. He married Alida Emma Bill on March 15, 1877 in South Hadley, MA, the Rev. E. Burlingham presiding. She was born January 27, 1854 in Longyard, MA? She died May 29, 1940 in Windsor, CT. According to family tradition, her mother's surname was Miller. Thomas fought in the Civil War as a private in the Co. G., 27 Regiment, Massachusetts Volunteer Infantry. According to his Pension File X.C.2.684-900, he enrolled at Springfield MA on 24 Sept., 1861 and was discharged 24 Sept 27, 1864. His physical description from his pension file says that he was 5" 5.5" tall, light complexion, brown hair, blue eyes and that he was born in Boston, MA.

2^nd Generation

ALIDA B. CLIFFORD was born April 5, 1878 (Source: Clara I. Keeler's birthday book), and died January 10, 1944 (Source: 1991 Letter from Phoebe Elizabeth Bartlett to Stanley Altrock). She married BURT LORD (Source: Pension file of Clifford, Thomas, C., X.C.2.684-900, Pension Certificate #658,377, Affidavit by William A. Lord - possibly relative of husband of Alida B. Clifford, whom I know married a Lord because she is listed as Alida B. Lord in CKA's birthday book. 1991 letter from Phoebe Bartlett Coe to Stanley Altrock has her husband's name as Burt). They had the following children: ELSIE LORD (Source: 1991 Letter from Phoebe Elizabeth Bartlett to Stanely Altrock), ROBERT LORD, RICHARD LORD.

JENNIE MAY CLIFFORD was born May 12, 1879 in Suffield, CT (Source: Pension file of Clifford, Thomas, C., X.C.2.684-900, Pension Certificate #658,377, Pension application lists living children as of June 4, 1898 and gives Jennie M. Clifford's birthdate. Her daughter-in-law says she was born the 14th.), and died April 11, 1954 in Kensington, CT (Source: 1991 Letter from Phoebe Elizabeth Bartlett to Stanley Altrock.). She married CLARENCE BURTON COE October 5, 1904 in New Britain, CT (Source: 1991 Letter from Phoebe Elizabeth Bartlett to Stanely Altrock.), son of CARLETON COE and JULIA (COE). 1900 Census: Jennie was employed as a silk winder. Children of JENNIE CLIFFORD and CLARENCE COE are: ALBERT ELMER COE, b. January 25, 1908; d. July 30, 1933, In Bremerton, WA (Source: 1991 Letter from Phoebe Elizabeth Bartlett to Stanley Altrock.). He died in a motorcycle accident - U.S. Navy M.M. 2/C, per Phoebe Bartlett Co, MABLE GRACE COE, b. January 28, 1906; d. October 2, 1977, MI., WARREN CURTIS COE, b. December 16, 1913, Windsor, CT; d. November 10, 1988, Port St. Lucie, FL.

Mabel "May" Louise Clifford was born June 11, 1883 in Wapping, Hartford Co., CT. and died December 19, 1955 in Hartford, CT. She married Charles Wells Keeler who was born January 29, 1880 in Bridgeport, Fairfield Co., CT and died in February of 1912, probably in Windsor, CT.
