Charles Herman Altrock, 83, of 176 Filmore street, Manistee, died at 7 p.m. Friday at Mercy Community hospital in Manistee. He was born Nov. 19, 1874, in Dearborn and came to Manistee in 1899. Mr. Altrock was a stationary engineer by trade. Surviving are five sons, Harry and Golden of Manistee, Allen and Carl of Ludington and Louie of Grand Rapids; three sisters, Mrs. John Mikells of Lakewood, Ohio, Mrs. Al Feryear of Saginaw and Mrs. Hattie Schaffer of Saginaw; eight grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. His wife Matilda preceded him in death. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday from LaValle-Johnson funeral home in Manistee with the Rev. Mr. Donald Scranton of Manistee First Methodist church officiating. Burial will be in Oak Grove cemetery, Manistee. |
